OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

Do I need a visa? If you are a US, Canadian, EU or Australian Citizen you do not need a visa. All you need is a valid passport to enter the country. NOTE: If your passport expires earlier than 6 months after the 20 April you will need to renew your passport---EU authorities will not let you travel.
What will the weather be like in April?  Weather in Italy is very mild.  It may drop down to 50 F° at night but then be in the mid 70°F at during the day.  It may or may not rain---this could easily happen in May or June too.  I once had a monsoon during a tour and we had to wait inside 2-3 hours in mid-June.  Regardless of the weather--it won't affect any of our activities.   Warmer clothes and a rain coat are advised---the sea will still be very cold but you can swim so bring a swimsuit.
Is Italy safe? Italy is fairly safe---the most common crimes are petty theft--like wallets, phones, etc.  We recommend leaving your nice things back at home.  Violent episodes towards tourists are very rare and your guides will tell you about places that are unwise to visit.
